Whilst on leave in February 1916, Tubby paid a visit to the Talbots (on the Bishop's birthday) at their residence in Farnham.

On 10.05.1916 she sent a warm letter of thanks to Tubby for the Talbot House pictures (incl. Chapel, garden, staff) he had sent her. He had these taken by special permit on 24.04.1916 (Easter Monday). Tubby and Mrs Talbot corresponded throughout the war.
