In 1916 Tubby Clayton became (unofficially) attached to 141 East Ham H.B. A lot of them visited Talbot House and Tubby also frequently paid them return visits in the front line.

Morton attended the re-unions of the H.B. at the Three Pigeons Hotel, Stratford, East London.

Wounded in the leg near Dunkirk in WW2,taken to hospital in Enghien (B), transferred to German hospital where his leg got amputated below the knee. Transferred to P.O.W. camp.
