- L/Cpl. Quin had discovered on the list of names in the hall that his brother, Pte Quin, had been in the House the previous day. They had not met since 1914. In the meantime Pte Quin’s battalion had moved to Abele, on their way south. With Tubby’s help Pte Quin was sent back to Talbot House and the brothers met. One was killed soon afterwards.
